Why do shafts come in different lengths?
The dart should fly in a smooth arc. Players have different throwing styles
and it is sometimes necessary to change the length of the shaft to find the correct aerodynamic path.
All darts now use the 2BA (small) size shaft. The only time you would need to use a 1/4 shaft is on the old style Steel tip darts and the less expensive Steel tip Brass darts.
