tips & tricks the Dartman

In competition cricket when points are close what strategy should I use?

If this is a question you ask yourself this may be the answer. We asked a high profile local soft tipper the same question. Jack DeGrosse, anchor and team captain of the bay area's "Triple Threat" team for the past several years, has been tossing darts for almost 20 years. Jack has led "Triple Threat" on many local tournament and league wins, and also amassed a reputable record on the military circuit at numerous installations. Here is how Jack answered our question:

When playing a close match with an avid player if the points are close I try the following strategy. Two at the close, one at the point. If the two first darts close your next number then the point is an added bonus. However, if you first two are off the mark then the point can build a little breathing room for your next round. This works very well if the point number is a favorite of yours. You can increase your lead while closing more numbers. The hardest hole to get out of in cricket is a lack of points against a good player. By utilizing this strategy you can keep the points close and put pressure on your opponent to close first.

I hope this tip will help you win more matches and strike fear into those teams you play.
